Hanzhi Hu, D.Phil, Oxon I obtained doctorate in sociology from University of Oxford in 2022. I joined the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences as a Research Fellow in 2023. Research Substantively, I am interested in demographic behaviours, i.e., intimate union formation and fertility, and how (dis)advantages, inequality and ideologies (gender, sexuality and identity) are produced and reproduced during the process. Methodologically, I am interested in applying and developing quantitative methods to various data sources to answer empirical questions.
