Hanzhi Hu, D.Phil, Oxon I obtained doctorate in sociology from University of Oxford in 2022. I joined the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS) as a Research Fellow and journal editor in 2023. Research Substantively, I am interested in how (dis)advantages, inequality and ideologies (gender, sexuality and identity) are produced and reproduced over the life course. Methodologically, I am interested in applying and developing quantitative methods to various data sources to answer empirical questions. Recent Publications In English Two companion articles are forthcoming, one introduces a newly developed method to analyze migration trajectories,
the other shows the implications of the method on Chinese internal migrants.
